How can I live longer? One question humans have been asking for centuries, without answer.  However, new breakthroughs in science have led us to major adaptions in our everyday lifestyles in effort to extend our life expectancy. One key adaption we have made to living longer is making it a priority to staying in shape and taking care of our body.  As you may already know, Our bones, or skeleton, serve two critical functions. Both equally important, the first being the structural function of bone. The skeleton must be strong, light, and be easily moved, it must also provide support for the body and protect our internal organs. The second function of bone is a metabolic function in which the bone provides a reservoir of calcium and phosphorus. We need to put an emphasis on exercise for there contributions to longevity and importance to overall health.

As we get older we start to become more susceptible to injury and illness, this is mainly due to the aging of our bones and muscles.
